In 24th October, there were thousands of homes were damaged after the flood in Bandung, West Java. The streets has turned into rivers for several hours, some cars on the street were washed away, making the driver die or mysteriously gone.
Areas of the city were inundated with flood water between 120 cm and 200 cm deep in parts. A person drowned because of trying to save the others. Drainage canals were blocked by rubbish because of the flood.
The National Disaster Management Authority said that Pasteur, Pagarsih, Solokan Jeruk and Sukajadi got the worst effect out of them all. The National Disaster Management Authority also said that 77mm of rain fell in the city in just 1.5 hours around midday.
Some residents have been evacuated. Schools in the area have also been reported because it has been damage by the flood. One of the workers from Borma got washed away by the flood, into the sewers.
